Chiba

Chiba is a peninsula located on the eastern side of the Tokyo metropolitan area and protrudes out in the Pacific Ocean.
It is warm in winter and cool in summer, and because of this mild climate, it has one of the highest shipment volume of agricultural and fishery products.
Formerly, it was made up of three countries ”Awano-kuni”, ”Kazusano-kuni”, ”Shimousano-kuni”, and the name of the peninsula ”Bousou” somes from this background.
