Shizuoka

A coastline of about 500 km stretches in the south, and in the north lies a range of mountains including Mt. Fuji.
Except for the northern mountainous areas, the maritime climate of this region is mild and pleasant.
Twenty-two of the fifty-three ”Tokaido Gojusan Tsugi” stages are located in this prefecture, and it has always prospered as a crossroad of East-West culture and people.
