Ceramic laboratory “Ishoken ceramic”
The Tajimi City Institute of Ceramic Design, established in Tajimi City in 1959, has over 800 young people who have left the institute to work as ceramic artists and designers. Aiming to be a city that communicates the appeal of ceramics to the world and attracts people involved in the ceramics industry and young people from all over the world who aspire to become ceramic artists, the city, together with the neighboring cities , has formed the largest ceramic production area in Japan called “Mino-yaki” and has produced various ceramics, ranging from everyday tableware to building materials. It can be said to be a world leader in ceramics in terms of both industry and culture. -

Wagashi “Seki-Toraya”
Since its establishment, this Wagashi-shop(Japanese traditional sweets store) has pursued quality improvement by focusing on raw materials and production methods. The shop features techniques that make the most of the ingredients, such as red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans and carefully cooked by artisans in a special oven, and gyuhi made from carefully selected glutinous rice flour. Careful attention is also paid to baking conditions to create a fluffy and moist dough. Furthermore, the shop offers more than 200 varieties of wagashi, valuing products that make use of local specialties and products with a sense of the season. While preserving tradition, the company has deepened its ties with the local community and continues to be loved by its customers. -

Ryokan “Manten no Yado”

This is a yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant that further refines high-quality meat with advanced aging techniques.
