"Nankei Pottery" is a pottery company that has inherited traditional pottery techniques and continues to produce unique and beautiful ceramics. By lovingly and carefully using the different techniques of hand-pulling, power-forming with a mechanical potter's wheel, and casting with a plaster mold in the manufacture of ceramics, they have created teapots and teacups that combine warmth and delicacy. Today, there are more than 300 types of products, which are loved by many people because they not only evoke Japanese traditions, but also harmonize with modern life.

Born in 1980 in Kyoto. After graduating from university, he completed the molding and research courses at the "Kyoto Prefectural College of Ceramic Technology". Then, he studied for two years under Mr. Hirokazu Ichikawa, winner of the"Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Award at the 44th Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery exhibitioning" his own pottery production in Sumiyama, Uji, Kyoto in 2008. Yamamoto's simple yet fashionable works are popular for matching with Scandinavian foods.

The Tajimi City Institute of Ceramic Design, established in Tajimi City in 1959, has over 800 young people who have left the institute to work as ceramic artists and designers. Aiming to be a city that communicates the appeal of ceramics to the world and attracts people involved in the ceramics industry and young people from all over the world who aspire to become ceramic artists, the city, together with the neighboring cities , has formed the largest ceramic production area in Japan called “Mino-yaki” and has produced various ceramics, ranging from everyday tableware to building materials. It can be said to be a world leader in ceramics in terms of both industry and culture.
