Fukui

Fukui prefecture is characterized by the Japanese phrase ”etsuzan jakusui” which refers to the many green mountains and fresh water, both of which are abundant in the area. The Echizen mountains and the ria coastline make it very colorful. The Japan Sea climate in the northern mountainous areas cause a lot of snowfall, while the plains and southern regions have a warmer climate as a result of the Tsushima current.
