”Yakko Sushi” Enjoying delicious seafood from Amakusa

Amakusa city is located at the end of Amakusa Gokyo Bridge in Kumamoto, in the south-southwest of Kumamoto prefecture. This area is famous for delicious food from the sea and land, and is well known to food enthusiasts. ”Yakko Sushi” is located in Amakusa, Kumamoto and is an established restaurant that is a favorite of television and radio writer Kundo Koyama, a Amakusa native who takes his guests there whenever he entertains in Amakusa.
The restaurant is unique. We first saw a large letter ”奴” on the wall. The interior features the bright red of Japanese lacquer, and tatami mats are used for all the seats including the counter and a Japanese-style room. At the counter, locally grown fresh seafood is displayed in the glass case. If you want to enjoy talking with the friendly and gentle store owner, we recommend the six counter seats.

Extracting the best flavor of the ingredients

The seasonal ”sushi” toppings are available at ”Yakko Sushi” where the chefs carefully prepare each piece. The first dish was roasted amberjack. Garlic chips are used to enhance the taste. The delicious taste and fresh ingredients are a given, but they take it a step further by adding just enough to enhance the flavor of the ingredients and create dishes that are also visually appealing.
